For exploring and fun, without fight and destruction. Since I read in your blog that this was difficult for a pro like you – could you give a newbie like me some hints or links for strategies and usages how to use the game in a non-destructive way?

kind regards

Markus

Thanks Corwin! I enjoyed each ship along the way, but I’d have to say the Astero is my favorite, even though I only got to fly it for a short time. Then the Tengu would be my next favorite, but the fit is no longer valid with it having been reworked. 🙁

Fascinating story, too. Great idea, to visit all the systems. Wish I’d thought of it. 🙂

I figured if I was caught, I was dead, so why not go out Signal Cartel style! 🙂

It could have been done by an NPC as part of the lore of Eve. However, this is Eve! The fact that a beautiful representation of all the sentiment of an idyllic explorer came out in a real player’s experience is one of the things that makes Eve so unique.

Like many, seeing this journey come to a close makes me feel a lot of different emotions – I’m proud for you, for the community, and a bit sad that this thread in the pattern is being tied off.

My signature in the forums is a fragment of “The Walking Song” from J.R.R. Tolkien, and I am once again reminded of those lyrics as this portion of your journey closes.

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.

Fly safe o7

“It had been a very, very, *very* good day. There was a bittersweetness within me, too, but it was faint. ‘Bittersweet is the law of the universe,’ as Papaw used to say. I had to smile at that.”

I think that sums up my own feelings quite well. Onward and upward, my friend.
